Al-Anon and Alateen Conference Approved Literature (CAL) is one of the tools to help families and friends recover from the effects of someone else’s drinking. It’s nice to know that we can turn to our literature for hope and inspiration whenever a meeting is not immediately available or our sponsor or other members cannot be reached at 3:00 am.
How to Obtain Al-Anon and Alateen Literature
Meetings
Most Al-Anon and Alateen meetings have Al-Anon and Alateen literature available. They may sell the literature or ask for a donation, usually at the price that they paid for it.
District 14 Literature Depot
Ordering from the local Literature Depot supports your local Al-Anon groups.
How to order
- Find titles and prices on the Literature Price List or the Literature Catalog.
- Call in to order — 925-274-3203 and follow the recorded instructions, or use the online order form at the bottom of this page.
- If you’re an individual ordering for yourself, you don’t need to provide a group name or group number.
- You will receive a confirmation text clarifying any questions and indicating where and how to pick up your literature, and the order cost total. Tax will be included.
- If you would like to pay using Zelle, check the Zelle check box on the order form. A Zelle QR code will be sent to you via text.
- Go to the Pick Up location for your literature and leave your payment (checks only).
- Make checks payable to “Northern California District 14 AFG.” If ordering for a group, include your group name on the memo line. That’s it!
- If paying with Zelle, pay before picking up your order.
District 14 Business Cards

Things to know:
- We are volunteers
- We try our best to keep everything in stock
- Orders are delivered to the Walnut Creek and Antioch pickup locations once per week.
- Check with your group treasurer before placing an order to make sure your group has the money to pay for the literature. Be sure to take into account state sales tax (9.75%)
- We do not have the capabilities to FAX
- We do not mail, UPS or Fed Ex any orders
- Checks need to be made out to: Northern California District 14 AFG
