The Legacies of Al-Anon

Recovery

The Twelve Steps are the foundation for personal recovery in Al-Anon. Group meetings, Al-Anon literature, and sponsorship are all helpful in our recovery.  Generally, a member asks another member to be a sponsor if he or she exhibits the kind of recovery the new member aspires to.

Unity

The Twelve Traditions help Al-Anon groups sustain their unity and fellowship. Groups rely on the traditions to solve their problems of living and working together.

Service

The Twelve Concepts of Service provide guidance for service in the Al-Anon fellowship. Adherence to these concepts aids the District as it acts in service toward our primary goal to carry the message to others who still suffer.
