Individual Contributions to District 14

In keeping with Al-Anon’s Tradition Seven, Northern California District 14 AFG is self-supporting, accepting contributions only from Al-Anon members and declining outside contributions. Guided by Al-Anon’s Tradition Three, the only requirement for membership is that there be a problem of alcoholism in a relative or friend.  (Non-Member Contributions)

To make an individual contribution to Northern California District 14 AFG using your credit card, debit card, Venmo, or PayPal; please use the button/links below. Please make a note that this donation is for “Northern California District 14” or “Speaker Meeting” in your PayPal donation.

The preferred method of payment is Venmo, because there are no fees.  Go to Venmo.com or the Venmo app on your smartphone and send your donation to Northern California DFourteenAFG or @DFourteenAFG (and code 6770 if necessary).   Be sure to note that what this donation is for, including your group’s WSO number if from a group.

Group Contributions

The following information is intended to assist a group’s Treasurer when disbursing funds that go beyond the group’s current expenses and a prudent reserve.

Each group is autonomous and can allocate its funds as guided by the group conscience.

The WSO & NCWSA each incur a cost of $330 per meeting per year to provide support,
information, and resources such as websites and apps. To help meet their budget, they
rely on quarterly donations. It is recommended that each group donate up to $80-85 each
quarter to both NCWSA and WSO. The WSO conducts separate quarterly appeals, and
$80-85 includes that appeal. After setting aside a sufficient reserve for your meeting, the
remaining donation goes to your home district, D14.

For all contributions, include your group’s WSO number on checks so your group can be properly credited for its donations. If not included, the donation will be considered as coming from an individual. The WSO number can be found on the meeting schedule.
